During the implementation I had the support of an online tutor from Ohio who tried to help me with my doubts and problems. Unfortunately, I have to say that this exchange was not as good as the previous one. First of all, the chat room we used was always failing and the meetings were done in groups, which was quite chaotic and he could not answer all my questions because of the chaos in the chat room. Furthermore, the timetables they had available were quite few and it was difficult for me to find time to chat with them.
However, there are some good points. I got a couple ideas that I will bear in mind. The first one, and the most important, is about group work class management. He gave me the idea of assigning roles to students of a group (even if they are not strictly related to the work they have to do) in order to get them all involved in the task and work. Another piece of advice he gave me was about vocabulary. He said he often uses some jokes to help students remember words. Jokes like finding out a word in the mother tongue or a noise similar to that word.
My conclusion of this exchange is that it was not a failure because I learnt about it, but after the one with Georgia this was a bit disappointing. It could be maybe because in the first one there was an interest for both parts to meet because we needed the other person and in that case there was not.
