Who am I now?

I can say that after this practicum and course, in general, I have changed from a student who wants to be a teacher to a teacher (even if I have not started to work in a school). Actually, I feel that my mind is full of ideas and ambitions that I want to put in practice, a lot of projects to carry out with children.

If I had to define myself as a teacher now, I would say that CLT is the kind of approach that I want my classes to have because I believe in the basics of this approach as the best way to learn a language in school. When teaching through CLT I am convinced to promote cooperative learning as the main kind of interaction, combined with others, but focusing on this one.

The language I will use in the class will be all the time English and even I will talk to students in the playground or other areas of the school in English if possible in order to allow them to use the language outside the walls of the class. They have to be aware that English is not only used in the English class.

I strongly believe in formative assessment as the fairer way to assess. I have been always worried about being fair with assessment and let students to be a part of it I think is the fairest way to asses and, at the same time, a good way to work some values like honesty and uprightness.

Finally, I am anxious to find out innovative ways of motivation, class management, activities, etc. because I enjoy when I see that children are not bored or unmotivated. In addition to that, I hope to work in a school where I can cooperate with tutors in order to connect English subject with what they are doing in other subjects like food pyramid, excursions, etc. Though I know that when I start to work in a school other teachers will see me as a simple novice, I am also convinced to prove that, despite the fact that it is true, I am worth.
